FAQ
What do I need to run a check in Peru?
The ID number (DNI, carné de extranjería or PTP). We use it to validate identity and check license status and driving records with the MTC. Name searches, such as judicial bulletins and sanctions, also need the person’s full name.
What do you check with Peru’s judiciary?
We search judicial bulletins for the person’s name; if it appears, the report goes to manual review. We also validate their criminal record certificate with the DNI and the certificate’s code: if it has expired or lists records, it goes to manual review.
Which driving checks are available in Peru?
With the MTC, we check license status and records of dangerous and drunk driving. You can ignore fines older than a set number of years and, if no license is on record, choose the outcome; by default, the report is marked incomplete.
What do the most wanted and police arrest checks cover?
Two name searches: the most wanted list of the Programa de Recompensas, run by Peru’s Ministerio del Interior, and a database of news reports on police arrests. If there’s a match, the report goes to manual review by our team.
